Save The Male Calves Project

Every year, countless newborn male calves are abandoned, sold for slaughter, or left to die simply because they are considered “unprofitable” to the dairy industry.

Through our Save The Male Calves Project, we travel to rural regions such as Karad, Islampur, and nearby villages to rescue newborn Jersey and Desi bull calves who are at immediate risk. Many of these babies are only one day old when we receive them. Some are abandoned in forests, while others are handed over for slaughter.

At The Miracle Animal Rehab, we give these innocent calves a second chance at life through bottle feeding, medical care, warmth, protection, and lifelong shelter.

To date, we have successfully rescued and protected more than 300+ calves from abandonment and slaughter.

Bhimashankar Cow Rescue Project

The forests surrounding the sacred Bhimashankar Jyotirling area are home to many abandoned cows who are left behind without food, water, or medical care. Most of these animals are weak, injured, elderly, or unable to survive on their own.

After receiving repeated distress calls from local residents and devotees, we began the Bhimashankar Cow Rescue Project with the mission of bringing these vulnerable cows to safety.

Our team actively rescues abandoned cows from the forest areas surrounding Bhimashankar and transports them to our rehabilitation centre, where they receive emergency treatment, nutrition, shelter, and long-term care.

These animals have already suffered years of neglect. Our goal is to ensure they never suffer again.

Golden Grace Cow Sanctuary Project

Many cows are abandoned onto roads and highways once they stop producing milk. After years of serving humans, they are often discarded during the most vulnerable stage of their lives — old age.

Through our Golden Grace Cow Sanctuary Project, we rescue senior and abandoned cows who are weak, injured, neglected, or unable to survive on the streets.

At our sanctuary, these animals are not treated as “useless.” They are treated with love, dignity, respect, and lifelong care. We provide them with proper shelter, nutritious food, medical treatment, and a peaceful environment where they can live their remaining years safely and comfortably.

We believe every animal deserves love not only when they are useful — but especially when they are old, fragile, and forgotten.

Bull Rehabilitation Project

Bulls are among the most neglected domestic animals in rural India. Once they are no longer needed for breeding or farm work, many are abandoned onto roads, left without food, care, or shelter.

Due to constant hunger, mistreatment, fear, and lack of human compassion, many abandoned bulls become stressed, traumatised, and defensive. Over time, society begins to label them as “aggressive” or dangerous, when in reality they are victims of abandonment and neglect.

Through our Bull Rehabilitation Project, we rescue abandoned and distressed bulls and bring them into a safe, structured, and compassionate environment.

At our rehabilitation centre, we work patiently to rebuild their trust in humans through proper care, nutrition, medical treatment, and gentle human interaction. Many bulls that once lived in fear gradually become calm, affectionate, and social animals capable of peacefully living alongside other rescued animals.

Our mission is not only to rescue these bulls — but to change the perception surrounding them and prove that with compassion, patience, and understanding, even the most traumatised animals can heal and live a happy, respectful, and domestic life.

Working Horse Rehabilitation Project

Working horses are among the most overworked and underappreciated animals in society. Many spend their lives carrying heavy loads, pulling carts, giving joyrides, or transporting luggage under harsh conditions with little rest, medical attention, or proper care.

When these horses become injured, weak, old, or unable to work, many are abandoned, neglected, or left to suffer.

Through our Working Horse Rehabilitation Project, we rescue and rehabilitate horses and ponies from situations of neglect, overwork, injury, and abandonment. We take in all kinds of equines — from working horses and cart horses to ponies used for tourism rides and luggage transport.

Our rehabilitation centre provides specialised medical care, nutrition, shelter, and emotional recovery for every horse that enters our sanctuary.

We also have a dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation team that focuses on orthopaedic injuries, mobility recovery, muscle strengthening, and long-term rehabilitation for injured, disabled, senior, and traumatised horses.

Whether young or old, every horse deserves comfort, compassion, and a life free from suffering. Our mission is to help them heal physically and emotionally while giving them the peaceful and respectful life they always deserved.
